  • application of ionizing radiation in medicine, in particular optimization of the assessment of radiological exposure of medical personnel and patients during radiotherapy and medical diagnostics,
  • development of noninvasive medical diagnostic methods,
  • dosimetry of ionizing and nonionizing radiation,
  • mathematical modelling of physiological processes,
  • development and application of X-ray, IR, Raman, UV-VIS, Mössbauer spectroscopy in support to biomedical, material research, geology, environment and cultural heritage protection,
  • development of multimodal spectroscopic and optical microimaging of tissue samples.
